About: I turned the base from a solid stainless round to give the lamp a solid and stable foundation. I milled the two arms from 1" plain steel square tube and welded them to their respective swivel attachments. After welding, I gave the arms a black oxide coating. I turned the reflector from a round of aluminum. Attached to the reflector is a milled and brazed mount for the light bulb socket. I added the springs to posts threaded into both arms to assist the lamp in holding its shape while adjusting.
